This test measures the main physical characteristics of Semen and Spermatozoa, and it is the starting point for the male fertility evaluation. Most importantly it tells us the number of sperm, how well they are moving, and what the shape is.

When a man has a low volume of semen with no spermatozoa present it could be due to the congenital absence of the seminal vesicles and vas deferens which allows sperm to exit the body. This test helps to confirm this defect.

This test helps diagnose those with metabolic disease or nerve damage, may end up with spermatozoa being propelled into the bladder at ejaculation. Signs of this are low volume of semen and very few to no spermatozoa.

This test measures if the man’s immune system is attacking his spermatozoa, which can impact his ability to fertilize an egg.

This test allows us to measure if the man has circulating antibodies against spermatozoa when he does not have sufficient motile sperm to test directly.

This test confirms if the woman has immunity towards her husband’s spermatozoa. Antibodies can be present in the cervical mucus or in the blood.

Semen will be collected via perforated condom during marital intercourse.
Drop Off or Ship Sample
Your sample will be brought to the lab or mailed in a kit provided by RRM Diagnostics in a timely manner.
